5 Vibrant Cities, 5 Brilliant Hosts, 1 Uniquely American Art Form

As an antidote to algorithm playlists and automated programs, here’s a show that’ll restore your faith in human connection and musical discovery. Produced by member-supported KSDS Radio in San Diego, “Jazz Across America” is a nightly deep dive into jazz heritage with a personal, local, and expert touch.

With 5 revolving hosts broadcasting from our nation’s most influential jazz Kenny cities, you’ll hear legendary drummer Kenny Washington in NYC; Grammy-winning journalist Neil Tesser in Chicago; author, producer and jazz historian Jim Gallert in Detroit; classically trained percussionist Sam Wisman in Kansas City; and renowned sax man and master class educator Roderick Paulin in New Orleans. Well versed, well rounded, wholly entertaining. And since jazz is about personal freedom and individuality, each host programs their own show – often from their own vast record collections. Catch “Jazz Across America” Monday thru Friday at 5pm PST on jazz88.org

Partnering with nonprofit KSDS Radio, we designed this brassy-cool t-shirt to help share the show and raise crucial funds to keep it on the air.
